I think i have my great grandfathers army record, if its the right guy he joined in 1886 it says for his next of kin a brother who was serving on HMS Edinburgh at this time is there a way to find any records on this brother.i've found my grandfather Matthew Donovan on the census he was born about 1867 but i can't finfd the brother named henry on the census can anyone shed any light? |

If they were serving in the RN I think that you might find them on vessels - for later censuses (?) fishing fleet boats are listed too when they are in port. Hope this helps Abigail |

I downloaded my granfathers navy record last night from NA. Legend has it his ship was sunk in the battle of Jutland. From his record it appears he never went to sea! Seems to have spent all his time at training establishments! |
