My great grandfather split up from my great grandmother around 1913, he met someone else and to our knowledge had 2 more sons. I set off to find these 2 sons just to have some names for the tree. I placed a story in the Kent Messenger with a pic of my great grandad and the story around him hoping to find some grand children of his, as he was born in 1873. To my utter suprise I found sons, (My great grandad started having more children when he was 60) Thanks to that I am now in contact with 3 of my great grandads 6 sons and 1 of them aged 81 wants me to help him arrange his wedding to Ann the love of his life. We are all going to meet on Tuesday and exchange photographs and I cannot wait! The Kent messenger also wants to do a follow up story when th wedding comes around. I Just think its surreal, for me to track down relys missing for 50 years and then be organising a wedding for one of them who is actually the sweetest man ive ever met |
