I am struggling to get info from the 1901 census. I have emailed both the the northern ireland office (my family lived in Belfast around the turn of the century) and the office in Dublin and had a reply each time suggesting I try the other! I have had a lot of luck contacting local family history society's on the mainland and people have been good at doing local look-ups. Is there anyone out there who can do the same in Northern Ireland. Would be happy to pay if necessary, because living in Enland I have no chance of going to either Belfast or Dublin. My family lived in Belfast and i have names, dates of births and a couple of addresses as clues. Any advice would be brilliant. Thanks |

If they aren't included on the above site, its worth taking a look at this site http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb(.)com/~jeanmccarthy36/index2.html If you know the street where they were living you can track down which ward it was in and using the film numbers on the 1901 census link, you can order in the census films to your nearest LDS (Mormon) Family History Centre.
