Number of individuals in tree

Thanks Reggie, that would explain the difference in numbers of individuals on the home page and tree.

The number quoted on your home page is, as it says, the number of 'individuals'.....the number given on your family tree page is the number of 'names' If you have more than one person with the same name, the number of names reduces accordingly when compared to the number of individuals. So, if you have a few 'Mary Unknown'...........the name is recorded once, the individuals are recorded in total.............. Reg

I'm the same - my numbers on my home page and my tree have never matched up.

I have only a small tree on GR and have a difference of 4 between the individuals on the 2 pages. I think it may be to do with actual named people as opposed to (father) (mother) etc???? Gwyn

Is anyone having a problem with the number of individuals in their trees? Home page tells me 1195 and yet when I click on any individual in my tree tells me 1027. I haven't deleted any and can't see any missing, as yet. This must be a technical error, just wanted confirmation before I send error report to GR. Thanks Liesele
