I am trying to find the details of my g grandmother's father. He is not listed on her birth certificate, and I wondered if she was baptised / christened that there might be some details in Church records. How do I go about finding such details? I am in Sydney, Australia. She was born in 1892.

Thanks Louisa, but I was actually after baptism/christening details. I have the birth certificate from BDM. On the birth certificate, there are no details on the father. I thought perhaps I might have better luck with baptism/christening details, but I was unsure where to start looking and what the process is in NSW. Cheers, S

Siobhan, have you had a look at the 'state records NSW' website at http://www.records.nsw.gov.au/ ? Kate.
