I am about to give up looking for this rellie. Matilda Latham was brn Birmigham 1824, to Joseph and Mary nee Baldwin, Mary died not long after the birth. I easily found Matilda’s birth and christening but, although she never left brum, I am unable to find her on either the 1841 or 1851 census. The next time this elusive lady turns up is in 1852 when she weds Joseph Lacey. She married from a house in Cecil St in the parish of St Pauls, not as I first thought St Martins, but still cannot find a possible Latham, or Baldwin there in 1851. Have it your way Matilda- I surrender!! |
