The only reason i ask is because my grandad always told us that he originated ffrom romany gypsies and i thought it was one of his tall tales that he used to tell us quite often to ammuse us, but am beging to wonder now, as my great grandmother'ss place of birth was canal!!! Julie |

Please can some one enlighten me to what a peddler is? I have this as an occupation for one of my ancestors. I have googled and come back with gypsie, could it mean anything else. Julie. |
