Heres what I have 1871 census Benjamin K Fossett b c 1830 in Walworth with his wife Mary J and three daughters Clara, 1865 Adelaide 1867 Lydia 1863 in 1881 it is just him and mary and a son Benjamin K Fossett aged 18 a sailor which makes him born c 1863. Have found a Benjamin aged 8 from the right birth area on 1871 at a boarding school in Gravesend Kent and think have his death aged 29 dec quarter of 1892. Can’t find a birth reg for him or anything else like where is he in 1891 Have trawled 1861 - 1868 can’t find his birth, the three girls were reg in Hackney Any one got better eyes than me and can find him?

hi dawn, i have found a BENJAMIN FOSSETT 1891 MARY J FOSSETT LIVING IN WEST HAM ESSEX MARY IS ALSO THERE BENJAMIN IS LIVING ON OWN MEANS HAZEL.

Sorry for going away Lynn sorry confusing aren t I Ben senior was born 1829 ben jnr has 1863 on census and death entry but cant find his birth. All the other census that are on here are correct either with his parents or his wife and girls. cant finf ben jnr on 1891 or his birth entry

Dawn Benjamin was a sailor in 1881 so he may have been at sea in 1891 This looks like his birth Benjamin King Fossett Year of Registration: 1864 Quarter of Registration: Apr-May-Jun District: Newington County: London, Surrey Volume: 1d Page: 333 (click to see others on page) Good Luck Kay

K Thank you thats him as his dad and uncles all have the middle name King as that was their pmothers maiden name. Newington makes sense as well as thats where his grandparents lived so maybe he was born there. Busy mum of his one in 63, 64, 65 and 67
