Hi Wendy Well i googled this and found a site that gave the Rank and Regiment abbreviations used in the index RFM - Rifleman RB - Rifle Brigade The number i assume would be his regimental number? An act of Parliament passed on the 6th of February 1918 allowed service men to register in order to obtain a vote in a constituency of their home address. The first lists were published on the 15.10.1918 from applications received up to 18.8.1918. The second list was published on the 15.4.1919. The index provided is a combination of the two, the details given are those supplied by the men themselves, and not by their dependants. Men had to be over 21 years of age to vote, therefore men under 21 in the armed forces are not included in this database. Please note that the men were not given a unique regimental number until 1920, it is therefore possible to find two men with the same number, but in different regiments. hope this helps, Annie

can anyone please help i have found a relation of mine on the absent voters list, it has a number 6909409 rfm 1st rb, please can anybody tell me what this means
