Ancestry won't let me view certain censuses and records, says I'm a registered guest when I have renewed last month. Logged in and out several times as 'help' pages suggested. Anyone eles having problem? Keep asking me to upgrade to deluxe membership, is this sneaky way of getting me to do this? Have emailed them but was going to have a nice afternoon playing...bother. Perhaps you should try phoning them. I know there is a phone number 0800 345 7917 and I'm sure if it is not the number for that kind of problem they will tell you what number to ring! Kate. |

I also had this problem, they said my Credit Card rejected them.so I gave them my Debit Card number. I contacted my Credit Card Company and they said they hadn't even requested the transaction. So it was Ancestry's fault. I don't mind as I got a free month out of this. Regards Jill |

Just a suggestion, but could the census and other records that you can't view be one that you need to pay for? As a registered guest you can only view free to view records so some records are blocked. when trying to access records that you are not subscribed to view, ancestry automatically asks if you want to upgrade. |

Thanks Sue and Jill, thought someone eles would of come across this. Actually my old credit card expired end of July, and they probably tried to take my August renewal out against it. I will give them a ring tomorrow. Taken a while to cut my membership off! Thanks again, Karen. |

Hi lunar, Yes that's the problem, I have a full membership and they have given me a guest one. I was merrily searching the censuses on Monday. Think it could be as the suggested problems with my credit card expiring before automatic renewal came through. Karen |
