Hi - found extensive info about Cope's Tobacco Plant, Liverpool on sca.lib.liv.ac.uk/collections/exhibs/FraserExhibition.html. Scroll down the info to a description of the good working conditions etc in Cope's Tobacco Plant. Didn't realise it was quite a refined profession... Does anyone know if this was the only Cigar making plant in Liverpool in the late 1800s? Jenny |
