I have just got some messages through and they are all blank this is so annoying how are we supposed to research our family and see if we have matches on here when we can't see the message. Jen

perhaps they where checking hotmatches and accidently clicking send message was it more than 1 perhaps you should contact Genes or send message to sender explaining message was blank Jeanette

Hi Jeanette. I was looking through searching new members on my tree and messaged some people and they have replied blank. I messaged them saying there message has come through blank and they have had to send it through a couple of times before i have received it. I will get in contact with GR. Thought i would check on here 1st though as i knew some people were having trouble a while ago with the same thing. Jen

I have had three blank messages in recent days, and there were other threads about the same issue here over the weekend. GR have a problem, which means, of course, that its members have a problem. It might be courteous if they were to issue some information about it, but since when was big business courteous?

I have had 3 blank msgs. 2 yesterday and one today. I messaged back explaining the problem, and have recieved one readable msg since. Have emailed GR-they replied saying they would sort it ASAP. !!!!! VERY FRUSTRATING !!!!!

There was another thread concerning blank messages today, maybe GR feedback need to be told about this.

There have been a couple more threads about this over the weekend, it has happened to me I contacted GR and they have emailed me and said they are trying to resolve the situation, I emailed one person back 3 times, I think they gave up eventually, so I didn't get the answer to my question. I emailed GR last night about this and am still waiting for a reply. I got some messages through today and had to reply to them asking for them to resend them through and even got one person writting a message to me saying the following ' i am afraid that this is not my problem that you are experiencing problems, it would be advisable that you contact GR and explain to them that you are having difficulties. The person in question is not a relation to me and if he was then i would of made contact with you!!' i thought that this was rude so i replied ' i am sorry to have troubled you and offer my appologises. I have contacted GR and am still awaiting a reply sorry for any inconvenience caused' My reply is 'appology not accepted' How rude i mean come off it we are all on here for the same reason arent we and if we manage to find someone that is a relation on here just think that you could get a lot of information that you never had before i could also and would be willing to give people copies off all my certificates. Wouldn't it be a good idea if genes connected put something on their home page to warn us that this is happening, retehr than lettign us carry on sending blank mails

I've just had a blank reply to a message I sent somebody when I was looking through my Hot Matches. What on earth is the point of GR sending you your hot matches if you can't actually send somebody a message about them and receive a reply? They should put a big message on the Home Page saying not to send messages to new contacts, at least, until this problem is resolved. (I'm guessing that if you exchange blank messages with existing contacts there is going to be a bit more tolerance!) I've sent GR a 'feedback' message asking them to fix it quick, and in the meantime, I suppose there is no point sending messages... Kate.
