I know you're right Looby but it's just doing my head in!! His parents are seeming to be even more elusive disappearing off the face of the earth after the 1841 census.... Aaarrgh! Naomi x

Naomi I have this problem with my great grandmother, have her from her birth until the 1901, but missing the 1891 - can't find her anywhere - suspect she may be 'in service' somewhere or other. My philosophy, after looking for months, is that as long as I am certain that I have the right person in 1881 and in 1901, then, if at some point in the future I find her on the '91 then so be it, but I'm not going to waste any more precious time looking for her at the moment. regards Looby

Hi, I am trying to find a relative on the 1891 census but I jsut cant find him anywhere! I've found him on the 1861, 1871, 1881 and 1901. His name was Harry Ayres and he was born in 1859 in Paddington. He became a policeman and had a wife Emily on the 1881. In 1901 he was in Bishopsgate Police hospital. If anyone could shed any light I would be eternally grateful! Thanks Naomi
