How to divide a gedcom on FTM5 please

Yes, create a tree or a family report with just those people in it and save it to gedcom. Name that new gedcom file differently to your main file. Ron www*genealogyprinters*com |

Help please.:-( I'm not sure how but I seem to have a floating family that aren't related to mine except the same surname. It's possibly because someone sent me a file somewhere along the line. Is it possible to separate this family into another gedcom file on FTM5, just in case I do ever prove a relationship? Words of one syllible please or point by point. Sylvia |
