1851 Census Help please - am I going mad?

It's possible the 1851 for Toxteth is incomplete. This topic has come up before and there are lists of missing areas.

mmmm. sorry i can't see them either. have even done a no name search , and got every male in Toxteth born 1809-1813, with a wife called Sarah, but nothing comes up anything like i'm afraid. don't give up though, they'll appear when you are not looking for them, lol Jx

Hi Peter, Yes that's them thanks in 1841 which I found - just cannot find them in 1851 - hop to 1861 by this time Sarah is widowed and down as Knocks. Many thanks Helen

Hi there, I am trying to find Hubby's family of Knox's 1841 Liverpool (Toxteth) William Knox - ship wright - born 1811 Sarah born 1816 Ann 1829 Joseph 1840 John 1837 Richard 1836 William 1832 Cannot find them at all on 1851 Census but have found Sarah now widowed and with more children on 1861 Census living in Toxteth Liverpool. All children were born in Toxteth Ann KNOCKS (should be Knox!) aged 31 (1830) George aged 13 (1848) James 16 (1845) Sarah 52 (1809) Sarah 14 (1847) Thomas 6 (1855) William 20 (1841) All living in Toxteh Where are they in 1851 and William was still alive (as youngest child born 1855) Any help would be greatly appreciated.
