I have a John Ford b1821c on the 1871 census born in Calcutter. Can anyone help me in seeing where the children were born? I cant make it out. John b1850 Emily b1852 and Lucy b1856. RG10 /3194. Page 34 Leamington. Many thanks.

Thanks Moe and Suzy....just goggled also street maped it....nilch! Never mind. This guy should have been dead by 1877 and i have just found him in 1881....aaggghhh! back to the drawing board. Thanks again girls x

I think there is a place in Warwickshire called Newbold-On-Stour. Maybe promising? Suzy

Found the son with his father on the 1881 and sons birthplace is newbold ???? something! Ah! well....shame he isnt mine.....he's a landowner and a gentlman J.P. whatever one of those are lol

Newbold Pacey is a small hamlet 5 miles east of Stratford Upon Avon. What do you think? Suzy

Hello Now that it has been established that it is another person called John Ford ( 1850 ) that you are looking for.....the place is called Newbold Pacey, Warwickshire. As you have found, part of family is on 1881 Census.....I just checked it on IGI - Familysearch site where it gives name of place clearly. Keep looking - Still looking Regards Jimbob
