Carole, there is no way of knowing if they would have been in England in 1851 or not, unless you find them on the census, of course! Sorry about that. I'm not sure why it is being suggested that you look for their parents on the 1881, given that both their fathers were dead decades before that? Kate. |

Hello Carole What Suzanne has suggested is a good idea. If you look on www.familysearch.org for 1881 British Census ( choose advanced search ) you will at least find info. regarding Edward Lyons/Ann Lesley and their family. After entering date of birth + - 2 years, select England, press search and their will be a list of over half dozen, select second on list. ( Lancashire ) Have you searched on same site for parents of Ann Lesley ? May be worth a try. Regards Jimbob |

carole, look on the 1881census under the fathers names, you can do it for free on familysearch its the mormon site but its a bit patchy, you never know you may have some luck,if not then im afraid you will have to use one of the irish sites(my family came from northern ireland)its quite hard to find irish rellies unless you go to the records office in dublin or belfast.xx |

Google for - micheal lyons ireland - there are several pages of lyons on there. check the one www*connorsgenealogy*com - looks interesting and you can find some irish census there. Haven't checked it but worth a try. Go to the Home page from the Lyons page. |

Carole Their fathers may have died in Ireland - wouldn't necessarily have brought their families to England. Sorry not to be more help - I have rellies who could've been in Ireland, Scotland or America - will I ever know?? Angela |
