I have an Agnes E Alexander who married a John C Torris in 1904. They were living next door to the Parry's in Leyton. John died in 1917 and Agnes went on to marry the next door neighbour as his wife died before the end of WW1. I found John's death on the commonwealth graves and it states John Torris died 4/12/1917 his wife Agnes E Parry formally Torris. So did she marry before he died? Lin

Well these memorials werent put up till a long time after WW1by the CWGC & I would think by the time it was being actioned then his widow had remarried so they would refer to her in her present name and that she was previously the wife of John Torris
