I have yet to start my worst one lol, been at this 12 years and dare not start grandmother Brown, I'm sure the fun will start then lol. Have reasonably uncommom names, mainly Franklin/Locker/Harrison. Have a run of four generations of George Locker interspersed with different locker families! |

Hey Keith You obviously are not related to any Edwards, Thompsons or Spences...where they all live in the same place and all marry people of the same name, and all call their children by the same names too. I would be willing to give you a few though. LOL |

Maggie not gloating as I think I have had it fairly easy, but I have only had one wrong cert, and that was my fault. Found a marriage correct male name, thought correct female name, turned out to be correct female forename but wrong surname, had sons birth cert with it same day, proved wrong marriage. Found correct one 4 years earlier, turned out they had a child died between marriage and child I ordered birth cert for. |

Hi You can put check points in to help protect yourself, but they do charge an extra fee to do the looking. It is worth it sometimes to be sure. I didn't have any further details on this chap, so I couldn' t give reference points to be checked. It was a guess but I thought it looked like a good chance. Wrong!!!! Sometimes you just have to try for it and hope for the best. It costs 7 pounds for a cert from the GRO ordered online. If you provide check points it is another 3 pounds. If the entry doesn't match they will refund the cert. fee and keep the search fee. Hope this makes sense. Good luck with yours. |

The second cert I was waiting for arrived today....wrong person. I am so frustrated with these people! Will add it to the list on the thread, but anyone need a George Spence b.1838 to Charles and Mary Ann (formerly Bayley) in Camberwell? I am getting quite a collection here!! |
