I have been in contact with a second cousin who I have never met. I had sent him some information he didn't have and yesterday he sent an email thanking me. He then asked if I had seen the photo he had included. It was our great grandparents with their 10 surviving children including my grandfather sitting on his Dad's knee. My brother and I have long hoped for a photo like this. How lucky are we!! Susan |

Thats lovely! Apparently my second cousin has a photo of my great grandmother who died in 1924 when my grandmother was 5. Really anxious to see it! I have a lovely photo of my 2x great grandfather from about 1880 - he was a waggoner for the local tramway so its a nice photo of him with his massive horse! I also was sent by an uncle some lovely old photos of my great grandparents out in Brazil where my great grandfather managed a cotton mill in Rio. Also included was a lovely photo of my great grandfathers parents. So nice to put faces to the names! |

The funny thing is is that my great grandfather looks exactly like I thought he would. We can also see family resemblances in the rest of the family right down to our children. Strong genes! Susan |
