i dont have adate of bith for my gran all i know is that she was 18 in 1940 when she got married to my grandad at st cuthberts Edinburgh sorry . both my parents are dead my mum remarried 2 years after my fathers death the Boak family were never close after that so i dont have much info |

yes kate i have tried that one and nothing came up which is realy enoying maybe they weren't married.i know my gr gran brought up her family alone although my gr grandad was alive i think i met him when he came up to my gran in a park she told he to go away. my gran always told me he was a fulanderer (if thats how you spell it) lol |

Sharon, assuming that her parents got married in Scotland, then there is only one site that will have their marriage - Scotland's People at www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk The marriages on there go up to 1930, so if they got married in Scotland it should be on there. Have you tried that one? Kate. |

my grandparents names were Andrew Boak age 19 Agnes (middle name Lawrie I think) Scott 18 married at st Cuthbert in edinburgh 2/1/1940 her parents were James Scott Jessie Scott nee Wight thank you |

yesterday Joe Mulline found my grand mothers wedding place and date and her parents as i had been unable to find out anything about them. i now find out i cannot find out anything the marrage between her parents i keep coming up blank. i have tried a lot of sites i it keeps coming up no match guess i will have to go to glasgow to find it out ps does anyone know the address in glasgow for the main register office thanks |
