i.ve been looking for a sarah savage 1839,found her and all here family. i looked at 1861 cencus and found the family again with no sarah but a john savage age 4 granson so he is sarah. sarah also had a daughter in 1858 abt but saddly died the same year. i decided to try looking for john savage in 1871 to see if i can trace sarah,found him but he is living with a family surname roberts,john is down as beening a nephew, BUT the lady off the house is a sarah roberts dob 1838 could this be his mother i dont want to jump the gun.wot does anyone think have i found her or not???????

Have you looked for a death for Sarah Savage? I wouldn't assume that Sarah Roberts is the same person without proof. Sarah was a very common name in those days. Sam x

yep checked for death of sarah savage found nothin. its a little wierd how to people with the same details as who i.m looking for to be found in the same house the only diffrence with the sarahs is the surname. go look for marriage i think! thanks sam.

Do you know that John is hers and not her sister's?
