Tailors and Chefs (London)

Hi Janet The tailors would have been one of the 'Livery' companies of London, here is the link to their website - haven't had to use the one for tailors, but the coachmakers and grocers have been really helpful http://www(.)cityoflondon(.)gov(.)uk/Corporation/leisure_heritage/livery/contacts(.)htm don't forget to remove the brackets. . If he was a Master Tailor then he would have been trained by Tailor & Cutter, formerly in Saville Row, London now in Peterborough - not sure if they have records there.

Can anyone give me an insight as to where I can find info on Tailors and Master Tailors in North London/Middlesex and also Chefs and Master Carvers, again in North London. Chef relative I know worked in large railway hotel but thats all ! Janet
