I am trying to find anyone who has any information regarding Heloise Dettmer/Dettmar born Paris, France in 1830. Her parents were George and Susan/Susanna, she had a sister Rosina also born in Paris in 1824. Father George was a piano-forte maker. Heloise married George Cook of Kensington London, they had at least 4 children - George, Ada (who died young) Eleanor (my g grandmother) and Lydia. Any info would be appreciated Dawn

I have scoured the French sites to find anyone who is researching this family but there are none that I have found. I have seen that it is a very small family centred in Paris and only spread its wings a little in the mid 1900s to the south of France. No doubt you have seen the IGI which shows : Rosina Emelia Dettmer christened in the Chapel of the British Embassy, Paris 11 Jul 1824 Heloise Elizabeth Dettmer born 5 May 1828 christened 20 Jul 1828 also in the British Embassy chapel Parents George & Susan. The LDS also shows George born c. 1798 Paris. No parents shown. also shows there was a George christened 1802 St Pancras. Is it the same guy ? The French telephone directory shows 5 names throughout France - Andree in 34500 Beziers Tel : 0467769120 Christian 34420 Cers 0467393183 Florence 67500 Haguenau 0388909687 Ingo 77760 Villiers sous Grez 0164242550 Robert 34500 Beziers 0467620393 A phone call may find a budding genealogist ??
