Hi All who helped Thanks for suggestions Sorry for the delay in replying The solution I have found is Tools - Options - Read Untick Read in plain text. Which has unblock the read in HTML which was giving the paperclip sign with the messages James Green |

Hi Katheleen, thank you, it seems to be working again, The only thing I can think of is that both messages were replys to answers to Hot Matches, but it was a relief to see the message numbers come up. James |

James, maybe you should contact GR to tell them about the email you got. Could it have been some kind of scam, not sent by them at all? Kate. |

James, I've just got your message, and replied to it. The email was normal with the link you normally get. Are you absolutely sure the email was from Genes and not from someone sending spam (like the ones you sometimes get supposedly from Banks etc.? Check by right clicking on the sender's name, go to properties, and see what email address it has been sent from. Kath. x |

I had a message earlier on today which was normal. Somebody send me a message now and I will see what happens and report back! Kate. |

Are you sure they are not going to the message section? It might not say 'one new message' in the green panel, but if they have sent you an email, then I'm pretty sure if you just click on 'Messages', then the message will be in there. Apologies if I'm wrong. Kath. x |

The trouble is at the moment they are NOT going through to message section of programme. So it does not tell you have a message to read James |

I haven't had any messages recently, so haven't seen this change, but if you don't want to open the attachments, I suggest that if you get a message, you just log onto Genes in the normal way and go into your messages. This way you can read the messages without worrying about viruses. Kath. x |

Hi I have found that they seem to have changed the method of sending notification but it does not contain the link to read the message, they now add an attachment which you have to click on,to be able to read the message I am not to keen on opening attachments because they could contain viruses James |
