I am trying to trace my husbands family, who were buried at Chobham Surrey. There is George William Taylor (b1850-54 Kent) who I think died about 1906ish, but I am not convinced that he actually died in Chobham but according to the rels is buried there. Then his wife Louisa Jane(nee Blagdon b 1857 Plymouth) who I think died between 1915 and 1920. She definitely died there and is buried there in St Lawrence church graveyard according to family legend but no headstone. When I win the lottery and have the plane fare, where do I go to uncover the information. Chobham museum only have info on people who were born and died in the village. So what next? Jan in Oz

What help, exactly do you want? Are you just interested in burials? If so, the burials for Chobham stop at 1865 on the NBI, so you might need to contact the relevant Family History Society for Surrey to see if they can help. Alternatively, the relevant council website should have lists of cemeteries and crematoria with contact information.

The actual deaths will be registered in the GRO indexes, but with a common name like Taylor, and as you say - no guarantee that he died where he was buried - it might be difficult to find him. The middle name and his rough age should help though.
