Layouts of sites are interesting. I think that YFT and A N Other are the only sites in which I have a similar board user name. I think that I prefer the layout of rootschat most of all, with regard to family history sites Another site whose layout I like is 1914-1918.net. |

Hi Jean Mary, YFT stands for Your Family Tree. It's a family history magazine. It has a website from which you can download free family history articles and it also has a family history forum. Website: http://www.yourfamilytreemag(.)co(.)uk/ Forum: http://forum.yourfamilytreemag(.)co(.)uk/ Remove brackets. Cheers, Horatia |

Keptin, If you join, take a look at the poll on the Discussion About The Magazine Board. The editor is running a poll so that he can report to the family history companies such as Ancestry about which online records Family Historians would most like to see go online next. Don't forget to vote! ;-) Cheers, Horatia |

Keptin, You'd be very welcome! I have another name on there so you might not recognise me! ;-) It pays to belong to many forums because they all have their own distinct personality. Cheers, Horatia |

That's because YFT doesn't have a website that hosts trees as this one does and its main source of advertising is mainly in the magazine itself. Perhaps YFT readers aren't so chatty! ;-) Or maybe it's because the magazine is so full of answers the readers don't need to ask many questions!!! ;-) ;-) The forum is small but cosy! ;-) Cheers, Horatia |

Thanks Horatia, YFT doesn't seem to get as many posters as GR. or 'The other one'. |

Hi Kept, That's a hard question. I'm a proper family history addict and enjoy reading various forums. I love answering questions so if I see something on any forum I can answer, I will help. I also like giving tips etc. I would say the questions are pretty similar on most forums but the layout of the boards are all totally different. ;-) Cheers, Horatia |

Seeing as your a moderator on the YFT forum would you mind me asking what you think of that forum compared to GR. I dont mean comparing the sites, just the contents of the threads, Genealogicaly speaking. Kept. |
