Birth registration query..help please

Hello Just looking up a birth and there are 2 with the same district vol number and page number yet different names?? George Henry Spill jul-aug-sept 1850 Thornbury X1 482 Thomas Spill jul-aug-sept 1850 Thornbury X1 482 any ideas please thanks Nicky

Yes a page would be filled with names unrelated too .its just who wree registered at the same time. As yours are the same surname then seems they are twins. if you look for them on Freebmd that shows ten names registered on the same page.

Could be twins, or perhaps cousins registered either on the same day, or if there weren't many births in that district possibly a few days apart but ended up on the same page of the register.

My twins are registered with the same numbers. So were my nan's twins.
