Yes, I thought it was really good. The only thing I have against the programmes is that they make everything look so easy and that you can find any sort of record you want in double quick time - whereas we all know that is just not true. Kath. x |

If you had as many researchers as the BBC, it would be really easy. Also if the BBC ring up a records office and ask about a certificate they don't get fobbed off by overworked staff |

Yes-it was made to look so flippin'easy-It is though when you have all that help-and we all would find it easier if we could pay all the researchers to do it! I'm sure if I had a couple hundred to spend it would all be easy!!-Not as much fun as digging yourself though-and it is exciting when the certs come through your door!-and even better when there the right ones! |

Interesting they didn't give an indication of the cost of DNA research - I bet that cost some! |

I really enjoyed Colin Jackson's Geneology ,and it spurred me on to search my own family further. Not surprised to find that he has Scottish blood in his gene pool! He is handsome after all! Just sorry to find that his grandmother was buried in a pauper's grave. That really hurt his mum. |

I really enjoyed it. Of course they made it look easy but dont forget it is an enterainment and if they kept hitting brick walls viewers would soon get fed up. Really sad for his mum though wasn't you? Pauline |

I think his was one of the most interesting - he had a mixed racial heritage and it was more exotic than the usual long line of ag labs or factory workers! He also had a great personality and seemed genuinely interested in his background. |

I like the bit where he was trawling through the marriage registers for Gladys(?) and the look on his face was priceless! Like he was saying how monotonous(sp?) it really is lol I agree with what Nell said - most intriguing about his heritage. Not your run of the mill family at all. |
