It might have an effect like last time - but I received a cert at the weekend and that only took a week to arrive, so maybe the rush isn't on just yet.

My last one (which I received the Monday before last) took 10 days, but I think that was more to do with the GRO now using TNT post which takes longer, as the certificate was actually printed two days before the despatch date I was given. Kath. x

i ordered ten on sunday with a despatch date of the 22nd Friday, there appeares to be no back log and although we are 3 weeks into the tv programe, there are no newbies turning up at my local studies library, inspired by the programe, in fact it is deader than ever, as it was around the last series and the gro back log, which i feel had little or nothing to do with the tv programe, it was the free gro index on Ancestry that caused the back log, i myself because of this was odering up to 10 a week, as it would have cost hundreds to search the gro indexs at 1837.com, the tv programe only had impact on the first series at my library and that quickly dwindeled, when searching hour after hour on un indexed micro fisce was shown to most newbies.
