Hi David, I feel the same. My mother and all her siblings were born in Scotland but of Irish parents who moved over very soon after they were married in Fermanagh. No trouble at all finding her family on the Scots site but apart from grandparents marriage I have come to a dead end. I'm sure you will agree that the Scottish certs are so helpful with a wealth of information not found on others. Jo |

Hi David i know the feeling only to well,mine are from Italy and i just cant go back at all!! Keep trying though you never know what could turn up happy hunting Loren. |

Just needed to vent, i've hit so many brick walls and it's so frustrating! All of my family live in Scotland but originally came over from Ireland, and it seems like I can't get any further! In most of my lines, I had a wealth of information from Scotlandspeople.gov.uk, but that seems to have dried up once I reach the generation that moved here from Ireland. Arrgghghg!!! |
