A person I have been researching born 1908 no fathers name on birth certificate...................................now the mother remained single for many many years and when she did marry I beleive it could have been to the persons father as he was married at the time of her birth........ she married him after he was widowed. thank you What do you think Margaret x |

It's possible. If your 1908 'fatherless' person was male and has living male-line descendants, and if the putative father (or his brother) also does, then it would be possible to compare their Y chromosomes to see if there is a match. That would set you back about £200, I think. |

Hello Victoria no nothing in the name only thing is I think there is a resemblance to the man in question it might be wishful thinking. When the lady married the man he died 6months later but of course I don't know if she knew he did not have long to live. They are buried together so he was not buried with his first wife Margaret x |
