Your safe on GR, there are some malicious websites about that can give you a few nasties but this is built into the website by the owner (usually a hacker) and it is intentional, you usually get them on Warez websites when you try and download something free like a game, a movie or a video. It sounds like Nortons Settings may need looking at. Norton (just renewed a few days ago) is running on this PC and I'm not getting anything like it. Ron www*genealogyprinters*com |

I use Norton Systemworks Premier 2006,the reason I was worried was that this message has only appeared on the Genes Tips Board during the last two weeks and never on any other site that I use. I am thankfully protected and was worried others may not be.The Norton System I use scans my computer every time I log on ,which is usually every morning, and does a weekly scan for viruses etc as well,it also tells me if I need to do an Express clean up. Maybe it depends on which version of Norton you have? I have Norton Internet Security 2006 and haven't had any worm warnings; but a couple of few years back my Norton warned me about something on the GR website. Perhaps it doesn't like some of the website's coding? Cheers, Horatia |

There was a previous report from Judy in the states, also using Norton, so that may be the case. Bob |

I use F-Prot, which hasn't given me any warnings about anything for ages. So it might be Norton being over-cautious. John |

For the third time in the last two weeks I have just had a message come up that a Worm has been blocked by Norton,Each time this has happened I have been using this site-Genes Tips Board . I'm not trying to scare anyone ,only three times in the last two weeks is rather a lot and I have been using this site since January and without any other occurences on any other site at all. Just want everyone to be aware who may not have protection for this sort of thing. Barbara |
