Hi Joyce, Have you looked on the National archives of Australia website? There are a number of Herbert Morgan's born in England listed as serving in the Australian army. It may be worth a look. Tracy |

Hi Joyce, I am really pleased you found him, I can take a look at the record entry if you want me to, if you could let me know what page number he was on when you did the search I will take a look. You should be able to request a digital copy of his service records on line (no charge). They usually take around 6 weeks but all of the records I have requested have been great, some with 50 pages of information. If I can help please let me know. Tracy |

Hi Joyce, Back now, if you go back to the search results, click on MORGAN, HERBERT (under where it says Control Symbol) it will then take you to the next page, click on 'Request Digital Copy' (no charge). Within the next six weeks (give or take a week or two, they appear to be about a month behind with requests at the moment) the digitised copy of his service record will appear on line. If you get stuck again, shout and I will request the copies for you. Tracy |

Hi Joyce, The nominal roll is a list of all members of the Australian Imperial Force who served oversea during WW1. It gives details of name, rank, length of service and date of enlistment etc. I have sent you a PM, I have copied the page which relates to your father if you would like it. Tracy |
