Member Since: March 2004 Posts: 114 Send Message	I am new to this programme and notice in My Documents folder that I not only have the FTM Icon for the family I also a back up Icon. Do I really need this? It must mean that the information is on my pc twice? I try and back up to my CD and flash drive surely this is enough? Any advice please. Margaret N

Member Since: June 2004 Posts: 1,012 Send Message	FTM makes 2 back ups. One file has the extention .fbc the other is .fbk They both have the same contents and you can use either, the .fbc one is a compressed version. Carol wwwgenealogyprinterscom
