Following on from Paul's thread about all the information that can be obtained just by having a pint in the pub that your ancestors once used, I wondered if people would be willing to offer their services to investigate their local pubs for those people who live too far away.

I could be persuaded to nip into the pubs in Colchester, Essex and also any pubs in the Bishopsgate London area. I would be thrilled if anyone could check out the drinking establishments in St Ippollitts, Herts Lyla

I pop into the 'Masons Arms' in Wichenford every so often. I do have bits and pieces about it from Victorian ages. Ellen X

Hi ya I would love to know more about the 'Bull Inn' in Llangollen ! I can do pubs in North Nottingham. Is a good website called midlandspubs which has a genealogy section and covers a wide area! Kaz :o)))

can anyone tell me if the Wheatsheaf Hotel is still in Existence in Abergwilli in Llanelli,my great great granfather's brother used to keep it.Would like to visit it Ali g

Lyla Do you know the Fountain Hotel in Colchester? I think it on a roundabout and near a train station. My parents had this pub in the early 1960's when I was born and I'd love to have any information about it. Lyndsey
