Hi I have been looking at the FreeCen site for 1841 Census and found what is possibly some of my ancestors. The info. is a bit abbreviated on the image that I found but this is it for 1841 - John Stewart 29 Occ. Dyer Born. Outside Census County Mrs. Stewart 25 Born. Lanarkshire Mrs. Wm. Finlay 60 Occ. Sewster Born. Outside Cen. County Census place - Gorbals / Hutchisontown - Glasgow, Lanarkshire Address 59 Crown Street. Hopefully if I have the correct people then the names should tie in with 1851 Census as full name of Mrs. Stewart would be shown as Isabella Stewart. Children at the time would be as follows - John Stewart aged 9 Fanny Stewart aged 6 Marion Stewart aged 1 Thanks for any help you can give me. Regards - Jimbob

Hi Jimbob I've found the 1841 image on ScotlandsPeople. Since I paid for it and don't need it I can download and email it to you. I can't find John and Isabella together on the 1851 census. There are 5 Isabellas aged 34-36 in Glasgow, one in Barony and 4 in Glasgow city. There are 5 John Stewarts aged 38-40 in Glasgow, all in Glasgow city. None of the GROS references matches at all. You'll have to fork out £6 and do your own further search on www.ScotlandsPeople.gov.uk. I didn't mind doing this bit since I had a few spare credits. John
