So far I can't find them together, but I did find a Mary Fenwick of the right age. Mary Fenwick aged 41 b 1810 Wife B. Earsdon Northumberland Civil Parish Tynemouth Occupation Milner (Milliner) Although she is shown as wife she is there without husband or children.

Edith - have a look on the 1851 at HO107; Piece: 2411; Folio: 255; Page: 9; First family on page - it's a distinct possibility. Both parents could be dead - there are (from memory) 2 marys and 4 williams dying tynemouth reg. district 1846 +/-5 years. Does Jane's MC says father is deceased? Any clues from witnesses names?

hi thanks for the help but, i don't think this is them. jane definatly states on all the census after her marriage that she was born in walker newcastle. i have tried different variations on spelling but can't seem to find them. surely one of the parents would be still alive in 1851. have just tried looking at 1861 and no joy either. guess they don't want to be found. thanks edith
