Well if you know any rough dates and places please do post and I'm sure me and others can try and help as much as we can. Sometimes family stories are untrue and other times they are - its always best to start from what you know and work backwards. When did she die? What was her name, maiden name - who was her first husband, when did they marry? Any info could be a clue - if you dont want to post the details on here, just send me a message and I'll see what I can do to help out or give advice for best places to look. Regards Alex |

I am looking for any helpful tips to help my grandmother and I trace her family. Her mother was known as Agnes and we are pretty much certain that that is the only thing she ever told the truth about. Agnes would've been my Great grandmother if we'd ever met however when my mother and grandmother tracked her down they found that she had already passed away denying having any family. She married at least twice probably three times if not more, all whilst still being married to her first husband. We are not sure where to start as to finding my grandmothers half sisters and brothers. Does ANYONE have any hints tips or general guidance? We have the names of one son born to Agnes and one daughter that may still be living and of two sons who died when they were children. All advice would be greatly received.
