Under 21. You needed parents permission to marry under the age of 21 but this does not mean that all people followed this and you will find many 'runaway' marriages. Janet |

Actually it would be under 21 - the age of majority was only dropped to 18 about 40 years ago. |

Worth noting for future reference- Up until 1929 ( thats not a typing error ) With Parents Consent Girls could marry at the age of 12years ! With Parents Consent Boys could marry at tha age of 14 years. |
