i have a marriage cert on it it says williams formely spencer . does that mean spencer was her maiden name or was she married before. On the others that i have it say married names followed by maiden names. Anyone know thanks Rosex |

It may mean she used the name , like if her mother had remarried or she lived with someone and used their name... |

thanks everyone i just cant find her anywhere its driving me mad . shirley all i have is her sons birth cert and thats what it says on there williams formaerly spencer Rosex I can find her on the 1901 sensus but thats all nothing before |

okay here goes on the 1901 sensus john ernest williams was born to edward william and maggie williams shepperton in 1897 i sent for the birth cert of john williams and it says mother maggie agnes jane williams formerly spencer father edward williams. on the 1891 sensus it says edward williams a private in the army and he was a bachola but there was a son born in 1890 called edward but i cant find him or maggie anywhere hope this makes sence Rosex |
