I'm afraid there is no easy way. The images of the marriage records are free online on ancestry, by quarter. Each after 1911/2 give the partner's surname as well as the registration reference, so you can find the matching entry. It's a case of ploughing through, but it's great when you find what you want. If a lady remarries, there may be entries under both her single and married names. Jim

Do you know the birth year of either one of the couple and do you know which area they got married in? Kath. x

Do you know how old he was when he died - it would give a better idea of when he may have married. Irene

Is it Ethel's second marriage that you are looking for? If so this is it:- Ethel Foxon, spouse Victor Lucas March qtr. 1927, Coventry, 6d, 826 (You just have to look in every qtr. of every year from the death of her first husband, looking for a marriage of Ethel Foxon to someone with the surname Lucas. The spouses name is given in the index after Sept. qtr. of 1911. You will find the index free to search on Ancestry.) Kath. x

Nudged for Sharon. Hopefully if she sees the thread at the top of the page, it will save her looking for the two marriages. Kath. x

Thanks Jim.....that will teach me to read more carefully. The FoxTon / Lucas marriage is a bit of a coincidence though. Kath. x

Yes I guess so, though I've seen many examples of people in the same two families marrying. It does confuse the relationships somewhat. All the best Jim

Hi Jim, I've amended the name on the marriage I found. I apologise for not being careful enough with my typing. Think I'm ready for bed!! Have deleted the wrong death that I found, too. Kath. x
