1841 Census George born 1816 abt and Wife Emma living in Chipping Ongar with 2year old Eliza but cannot find them again in 1851 census - I have them back in 1861 living in Herman Hill no sign of Eliza but with loads of other children. Any suggestions as to where he went between 1841 and 1861?!

could well be the Eliza I am looking for as it fits with the other relatives. Would that be on the 1851 census or later? Any news of the George and Emma Wood that I have lost?

That is so clever - I never thought to look for Ward! I will double check and see if this could be the other siblings! Tks for that! How did you do this so quickly?!

Actually not that quick. I am also researching a Wood family and quite a few of mine have been transcribed as Ward. Lyla

NBI is the National burial index. lists burials by church, well ones which have been transcribed. It couldn' be your Eliza is she is 5 months old at death Linda

Lyla just to confirm that information is correct - I now have to find what happened to Frances and Elizabeth - if those are the correct names. I am able to follow the family through to the 1861 census now and have even got William and Richard married and George (son) as a widower!
