I am a bit new as far as this is concerned. One of my Ancestors was sent to NSW from Portsmouth in 1791 on a convict ship. Have found all these details - but where do I go for info from when he stepped off the ship onwards - is there any. Many thanks Lin

I know that there is a really good site which follows the NSW convicts. Unfortunately my Australian friend who uses it has just gone on holiday for two weeks!!!. I just put NSW convicts into a google search and it brought up lots of interesting looking sites. Linda

Also, have a look at the NSW BMD site at http://www.bdm.nsw.gov.au/ Maybe you will find him on there! and the NSW state records at http://www.records.nsw.gov.au/ has online indexes too. Kate.
