Has anyone come across B.O.M. on Gro birth index? I have been looking for a birth and found one with surname and forenames but these were followed by B.O.M and then the district & ref numbers. Does anyone know what this means? Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks, Gillian now sorted - szee below

Could it just be initials of other forenames.? If it is not a living person, perhaps you'd like to post the details so that we can look. Gwyn

If you google abreviations them look at the different sites there's loads of different meanings for BOM. I had a quick look and some of the ones that might (!) suit are Book of Morrmon By other means Bombay Board of Monitresses Sorry , with so little info its hard to know if any of these make sense.

Thanks for your responses and of course the simple answer was the correct one - it is his other intitials! I established this by finding births of other siblings and they all have a combination of B O M as additional names or initials. Thanks again for your suggestions regards Gillian
