This link suggests only 8 crew enough to man the ship and 2 American passengers went down with the ship. http://www.theshipslist*com/ships/descriptions/gggsketch.html |

Hi I am trying to find a William Antonio who was noted as a steward on bourd the SS City of Brussels in the 1881 cencus. On the 7 January 1883, she sank in the River Mersey following a collision with the SS KIRBY HALL with the loss of 10 lives. I have tried to find out if he was one of the 10 people who lost there lives but have had no luck. can anyone help or point me in the right direction. thanks paul |
