Latest survey on GR home page is asking if anyone is descended from Royalty...would be nice if GR would share some of the stories with us, once the survey's ended. Im fascinated by illigitimate descendants of Royalty, dont ask me why lol. Maybe its because I was born out of wedlock myself. Does anyone know more about the story that Prince Philip fathered an illigitimate child who now lives in the North of England?

I don't remember seeing any feedback from the GR surveys. What do they do with the info - is it just for their own amusement? Angela

Angela, I think they sell the info to any statistics company/media who wants to buy it.

it's always been a rumour amongst our family that my great aunt's husband was of royal blood. Honest no joke. His name was Oswald Gray-Barnes. And apparently Gray was a name they gave to Bastard (pardon the term) children of royal blood. can anyone enlighten me further to hopefully dispell this family rumour that has lasted a long time. thanks catherine xx

My husband's family say they are related to the Bowes Lyon family. I have found 'Lyon Bowes' in his tree, (as the name was originally).... but they didn't appear to have any money..lol. Jean

I've been reading about King Henry 1 born 1068 on google tonight and judging by the amount of kids he had, ligitimate and illigitimate, I think we can all safely say we have a tinge of blue blood in our veins.
