Pheewwwww....I have just spent an hour trawling through Ancestry BMD for my granddad and his brothers births....Why oh why did sooooo many mums and dads, with quite common surnames, call their children with common christian names????? ie... John Roberts and William Roberts, there are dozens of them in each quarter. I think the sun is over the yard arm so I am going to pour a stiff G & T. Kathlyn

I know how you feel. I've got two William Williams in my tree and my husband's Welsh lot have William Williams, William Thomas, Thomas Williams, Evan Evans and John Jones. Oh, and William Jones and Thomas Jones. All the women in the Welsh side are called Mary or Margaret. Their maiden names are - Williams, Thomas and Evans. I got really excited when I found a Lewis!
