Are you sure of the location Bacardi? There is a Charles marrying an Ellen Turner of the I of W in March1894 Sometimes they would marry at the bride's home area' just a thought.

thanks for replies not actually sure were they married but charles was a patient in the royal navy hospital in hampshire in 1891 and thats when there first child was born bacardi xxxxx

Looks like Ellen had different parents. In 1901, she shows as niece to Charles and Ellen Jim
