Usually if the woman is listed as head, she is single or widowed. The only time I have seen a woman as head where the status is M (married), was for my 2x great greandmother, her husband was working abroad for 15 years. |

I can't find him either. There are only a handful of Ira's in the whole of England born in 1850 +/- 1, and the same for *anyone* born in Caythorpe for the same range. Could he have been in hospital or another institution that night? Many institutions only recorded initials. |

Hi I am trying to find Ira Baggaley on the 1901 census. I have found his wife with some of his children and she is shown as still being married which I know is accurate as Ira did not die untill 1927. I have found him on all the other census - with various spellings of both his first and surnames but in 1901 I cant find him. Can anyone here help with finding him. Ira Baggaley was born in 1850 in Caythorpe, Nottinghamshire. They continued to live in Nottingham and this is where he died in 1927. On the 1891 census they were living in the St Mary's parish of Nottingham South East. Ira is shown as a general labourer which is also what his death certificate shows. Any help on finding out where Ira was in 1901 would be great. Thanks Karen |
